Local 1650 has been shaped by the long service of two members in particular: John McDonald and R. Goward.
John McDonald was the longest-serving president in Local 1650’s history, leading the union through decades of bargaining and advocacy on behalf of HFCC-FT faculty, counselors, and librarians.
R. Goward was a music instructor at Henry Ford College and a deeply active union member, contributing years of service and commitment to the local.
Local 1650 recognizes and thanks both for their lasting contributions to this union.
